What PlumberFlorida is
PlumberFlorida is an independently operated referral service. PlumberFlorida is not a plumbing contractor, holds no contractor licence, employs no plumbers and performs no plumbing work. Every job arranged through this site is performed by an independent, separately licensed professional who contracts directly with the homeowner.
What PlumberFlorida does not do
These limits are deliberate. Under Florida law the activities above are reserved to licensed contractors, and PlumberFlorida stays outside them.
- It does not perform, supervise or inspect plumbing work.
- It does not set prices, produce estimates, bids, proposals or invoices.
- It does not schedule visits, dispatch technicians or manage jobs.
- It does not collect payment for plumbing work.
- It does not guarantee, warrant or insure any professional's work, licence or insurance.
- It does not negotiate or execute contracts on behalf of any contractor.
- It does not employ, control or direct any plumbing professional.
Who you are actually contracting with
When you call the number on this site, the call is routed to an independent licensed plumbing professional or to a partner network that routes it onward. Your contract, your invoice, your warranty and any dispute are with that professional — not with PlumberFlorida.
Before work begins, ask for the licence number and verify it yourself. The public register for Florida is published by Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) at https://www.myfloridalicense.com/portalsearches/VerifyLicensee.
How this site is paid
PlumberFlorida may receive compensation from a partner network or from a contractor when a homeowner connects with a professional through this site. Compensation does not change the price the contractor charges you, and it is not a fee you pay. See the advertising and compensation disclosure for detail.
Statutory disclosure for Florida
Florida prohibits engaging in or acting in the capacity of a contractor, or advertising oneself or a business organisation as available to do so, without being duly registered or certified; the separate duty to include a licence number in advertising sits in section 489.119 rather than in 489.127, so an unregistered advertiser and a licensed contractor omitting the number are breaching different provisions. PlumberFlorida publishes its non-contractor status on every page of this site.
